About

In college, I dreamed of working at an ad agency in New York City as a digital strategist. And — while that dream came true — I quickly learned my skillset was better utilized in a setting where I would be a big fish in a small pond. Within a year, I made the decision to move back to Austin and apply my interdisciplinary skillset in marketing and design towards a career in politics and public affairs. While the road was unconventional, it eventually led me to my current career where I have the opportunity to utilize my unique blend of skill sets to paint on a variety of canvasses in real estate, politics, and event planning.

The rise of digital media has blurred the lines between advertising, public relations, and communication design, giving creative minds, like myself, an incubator to thrive in and serve as a value-add on a variety of teams. I have been fortunate enough to exercise my ability to marry my visual communication skills and advertising fundamentals across a vast portfolio of clients, ranging from national brands like Purina (meow) to Shark Tank featured companies like Parker’s Real Maple, presidential candidates, and even towards my own e-commerce party supplier: Party Hearty Box.

All of the skills I’ve refined over the years are used daily as a Realtor and Operations Manager on a Compass team. My skills working with multiple clients, under tight deadlines, has helped me implement efficient processes which ensure exceptional and timely services to real estate clients.

My curiosity has provided me with a broad breadth of experiences, leading me to places beyond my wildest dreams. The path to discovering my career has been a lucky one thus far, and I am always on the hunt for opportunities to collaborate and ideate.

My husband, Travis McCormick, and I met after college at our first jobs and married in 2016. We bonded over a love for Matt’s El Rancho, good policy, creative endeavors, and a desire for hosting.

Travis works at the crossroads of politics and energy policy. He is known for his passion for CrossFit and extreme feats of endurance, pit barrel-smoking high-quality barbecue, and his “ghost writing” (including over a hundred op-eds and a national bestselling book).

We purchased our home in 2017, and the process sparked my interest in becoming a Realtor. We were ahead of the ADU-trend and live in central Austin. I have spent many weekends investigating ways to use our space efficiently and creatively (like having an outdoor oasis with a cedar-barrel sauna).

We love spending time with our two rescued cocker spaniels and our community of friends.

 Small Business Resources

I owned my first small business, a digital and design consulting firm, at the age of 23. At my boutique agency I managed five employees and brought in over 40 clients for both ad hoc projects and retainers. I managed her business for nearly four years before being hired in-house by one of her clients. And, a few years later returned to working for herself.

I’m always happy to discuss tips I learned as a small business owner. Including:

  • Corporation Formations (LLCs, S Corps, etc.)

  • Tax Worksheet (she developed this years ago for her accountant)

  • Payroll & Retirement

  • Helpful Apps

  • Project Management

  • Lead Generation

  • Employee Hiring & Retention
